On-Device Processing

Face Data

SkinJourney does not collect, retain, or share face data. All photos remain exclusively on your device under your control.

SkinJourney allows you to capture photos of your face for skin and acne tracking purposes. Below are specific disclosures about how face data is handled.

Face Data Collection

• No Collection by SkinJourney: We do not collect, receive, or have access to your facial photos
• Local Storage Only: Photos you capture are stored exclusively on your device
• User-Created Content: Facial photos are voluntarily captured by you to track skin conditions and acne progress

How Face Data Is Stored

• Local Storage Only: All facial photos are stored exclusively on your device using encrypted storage
• No Cloud Upload: Face data is never uploaded to our servers or any external servers
• No Facial Recognition: We do not use facial recognition technology, facial mapping, or biometric analysis of any kind. Photos are stored as standard images only.

Retention of Face Data

• User-Controlled Retention: Face data (photos) are retained on your device only for as long as you choose to keep them
• No Indefinite Storage: You can delete individual journal entries and their associated photos at any time through the app
• Complete Deletion: When you delete a journal entry or your account, the associated face data is permanently removed from your device
• Reason for Storage Duration: Photos are stored to allow you to track your skin progress over time and compare photos from different dates. The storage duration is entirely under your control.

Third-Party Sharing of Face Data

• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your face data with any third parties
• No Analytics on Face Data: Face data is not used for analytics, advertising, or any purpose other than displaying it back to you within the app
