Bug Identifier can identify a wide variety of insects, spiders, and arthropods including beetles, butterflies, moths, ants, bees, wasps, flies, spiders, and many more. The app works best with common species but can also identify many rare ones.

How do I take better photos for identification?

For best results: ensure good lighting, get close to the bug, keep the camera steady, make sure the bug fills most of the frame, and try to capture clear details like wings, legs, and body segments.

What's the difference between free and premium?

Free users can identify one bug. Premium subscribers get unlimited identifications, unlimited chat messages, access to detailed information, and priority support.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes! Your photos and analysis results are stored locally on your device. Photos are only sent to our AI service for identification and are not stored on our servers. We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app.

Can I use the app offline?

The app requires an internet connection for bug identification as it uses cloud-based AI. However, you can view your previously saved identifications offline.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play for Android). Go to your account settings in the respective store to manage or cancel your subscription.

The app identified my bug incorrectly. What should I do?
