Delete your account

You can delete your Dearheart account and its data at any time, on iPhone or Android.

In the app

1. Open Dearheart and go to the Us tab.
2. Tap the gear to open Settings.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm twice.

Without the app

Email haakon.kjelseth@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We confirm by email when it is done.

What is deleted

Your account and profile, and the space you share with your partner: every note, message, photo, voice message, drawing and answer either of you added, plus your pet, Stamps and streak. Your partner keeps their login, but the shared history is gone for both of you, so let them know first.

What is kept, and for how long

Deleting in the app removes these records at once, and uploaded photo and voice files are cleared within 30 days. A request by email is completed within 30 days. We keep a record of each purchase for accounting, no longer linked to your account, and Apple and Google keep their own under their policies. Analytics events stay with PostHog under an account ID only, with no name or email, until they expire.
